Barbara H. Schmitt (1988) is a screenwriter, producer and children's books writer.
Born in Blumenau, Santa Catarina - Brazil, she
has a master's in film production from the Norwegian Film School and a bachelor's in screenwriting from Umeå University, in Sweden.

Barbara worked on several film productions in Sweden and as a producer for film festivals until she moved to Norway, where she began writing books for a younger audience.
​
She currently resides in Norway, Kongsberg and works with cultural projects for teenagers and as a film teacher for kids and teenagers in Kongsbergs municipality.
She produced Kongsberg's first International Film Festival in 2022.
As a screenwriter and producer, she has a few film and TV series projects for kids under development.
